To every beautiful girl….
Day in and day out, I see and hear things from my beautiful friends that I just can not fathom. They say that they are fat. Ugly. Unintelligent. Worthless. You know what I say? I say no.
I say that each and every one of them are beautiful in their own unique way. They are gorgeous - personality and appearances. I just wish, for one day, I could swap minds with them so that they could truly see how wonderful they are through my eyes, and everyone else’s. Sure, they may have their flaws. But you know what, who doesn’t? Even the world’s most renowned models have their flaws. Even the world’s smartest people have their flaws. Our flaws our what makes us genuine human beings. Embrace them.
I wish these beautiful girls had more self-confidence in themselves. They are loved beyond comprehension by their friends and family, so why can’t they love themselves? I look at myself and my flaws, and yeah, sometimes it gets to you. But you know what? I am the only person in this entire world who looks like this, thinks like this, and is this. I am me. I wish these girls would stop worrying about what the world depicts as beautiful, and what the world expects, and just see their own beauty; for who they truly are.
They don’t need to be anyone but themselves. They don’t need to look like anyone but themselves. They don’t need to lose weight. They don’t need to be smarter. They don’t need to wear make-up. They don’t need to change. They just have to love themselves and respect themselves to be happy enough to offer who they are to the world, and know that it’s enough.
So, to any girl that has ever looked at herself and not liked what she has seen. To any girl who has ever thought she wasn’t smart enough. To any girl who has never seen her own beauty. And finally, to any girl who hasn’t believed in herself….. just be you. There is no one on this earth that can be a better you. Take advantage of that and give the world the most of you possible.
Finally, to every beautiful girl, I believe you are exactly that; beautiful. You can conquer the world if you put your mind to it and truly believe in yourself. Don’t sell yourself short; your potential far exceeds the limitations in your head. So, smile and be happy with you. <3
